This online Driver Ed course is required for all teens under 18 years old applying for a probationary license in Ohio.

What’s Included?

All Star’s state-approved Online Teen Program equips students with the critical knowledge needed to become a safe driver for life. This comprehensive program includes 24 hours of online instruction, offering the flexibility to learn at your own pace, from the comfort of home or any location!

How Does it Work?

Students have the flexibility to complete the program over the course of 180 days. A maximum of 4 hours of online instruction can be completed daily, and a mandatory 10-minute break is included after every 2 hours of online learning.

Students must achieve a final written exam score of at least 75% to successfully pass the course and qualify for a Certificate of Completion.

What’s Next?

Once the online instruction is successfully completed a Certificate of Completion will be emailed to you and conveniently uploaded to your student portal. Upon course completion, students can schedule behind the wheel training with a driving school of your choice.

Ohio Online Class D FAQ’s

You can enroll in and start the All Star Driver Education program at the age of 15 years and 5 months. The steps to obtaining your license are outlined on How to Get an Ohio Driver License.

Students will complete the classroom phase of their Driver Education program online. This typically involves studying course materials, watching videos, and participating in interactive online lessons. After successfully completing the online phase of training, students can then enroll in the behind-the-wheel training phase with a driving school of their choosing.

The state of Ohio allows 180 days from the day you enroll to complete the online program. Online students are allowed to complete a maximum of 4 hours of online training per calendar day. It is mandatory to take a State mandated 10-minute break after every two hours of online learning.

Students must achieve a final written exam score of at least 75% to pass. No more than three attempts to pass the final exam are permitted by the state of Ohio. Students who do not pass the final exam after 3 attempts will be required to retake the classroom program at no cost.

Teens under the age of 18 are required to complete a Driver Education program to obtain a driver’s license.
